The 529 Plan Composite Rankings are based on a comparison of the historical investment performances of a representative selection of each 529 plan's investment options.

The EdVest direct-sold 529 plan was ranked in the top ten performing direct-sold 529 plans based on the weighted average performance of seven asset allocation categories (100% Equity, 80% Equity, 60% Equity, 40% Equity, 20% Equity, 100% Fixed, and 100% Short Term) for the one, three, and five-year periods that ended March 31, 2009. The one-year period included 52 529 plans offered by various states, 42 for the three-year period, and 31 for the five-year period.
