Investment Options

Fixed Allocation Options
The Fixed Allocation Options range from conservative portfolios that seek current income while preserving capital and liquidity, to growth portfolios invested entirely in stock funds.

Enrollment-Based Options
The Enrollment-Based Options invest in a series of portfolios that become more conservative as your child nears enrollment. Portfolios for younger children will invest more heavily in stock funds, while older children's portfolios will have more conservative bond investments.

Choosing a Portfolio
Do you need help choosing which portfolio is right for you? This section will provide articles and tools to help you determine which portfolio may be best suited for your needs.

EdVest portfolios may invest in stock and bond investments. Stock investments should only be considered for long-term goals as values fluctuate in response to the activities of individual companies and general market and economic conditions. Bond investment values fluctuate in response to the financial condition of individual issuers, general market and economic conditions, and changes in interest rates. In general, when interest rates rise, bond investment values fall and investors may lose principal value. Consult a program description for additional information on these and other risks. There is no guarantee that an account will grow enough to cover higher education expenses.
