To ensure the security of your account information online, we have several precautionary measures and checks in place, including:
- To prevent identity theft and ensure that e-mail messages are authentic, whenever you click on a link in an e-mail from Wells Fargo Advantage Funds®, you will first go to a page that will show a personalized word. This "SecureWord" is shown to you so that you know that the e-mail you received was authentic and that you are on the genuine Wells Fargo Advantage Funds Web site.
- Redemption proceeds for regular accounts1 are sent only to the address of record or bank account on file.
- To access your account information online, you must complete the online registration form, providing your name, social security number, and account number1. Upon completion, we will mail a letter to the address of record for confirmation.2
- Access to your account online will be locked after three consecutive failed login attempts. You can unlock your account using the password reset function. If you are still unable to access to your account, send us an e-mail or call 1-800-359-3379.
- After registering to access your account online, you can restrict the amount of account information that is accessible online3.
- Access to your account online expires after 15 minutes each time you log in. If you are automatically logged out, you must log in again to access your account(s).
