Why am I getting the error "Your Account Access session has timed out"?
If your session timed out unexpectedly, please log in again. For security reasons, your session is automatically logged off after 15 minutes of inactivity.
If this issue persists, close all of your browser windows. Then, re-open your browser, clear your browser cache, delete your cookies, and attempt to log in again. Please call us at 1-800-359-3379 if you need further assistance.
How do I set my browser to accept cookies?
Cookies are pieces of data given to the browser on your computer. This piece of data is sent back to the server each time you access a new page.
The purpose of enabling cookies is to help websites identify returning users to provide them with customized pages. You will not be able to access any secured pages if you set your privacy setting to Block All Cookies. Follow the steps below to enable the cookies:
Internet Explorer 6.0, 7.x, 8.x and 9.x
- At the top of your browser click Tools, then Internet Options.
- Click on the Privacy tab.
- Click the Advanced button.
- Place a checkmark in Override automatic cookie handling.
- Place a checkmark in Always allow session cookies then click OK.
- Click the Edit button and verify if Wells Fargo Advantage Funds is in your Managed websites list. (If you are using Windows XP with SP2 or Windows Vista or IE9 with Windows 7, click on the Sites button instead of Edit.) If Wells Fargo Advantage Funds is in the list, highlight it and click Remove. Then click OK.
- Click OK to close the Internet Options window.
Firefox 3.x- At the top of your browser click Tools, then Options.
- Click on the Privacy icon on the top of the window.
- In the History section, for the Firefox will: dropdown, select Use custom settings for history.
- Check the box Accept cookies from sites.
- Check the box Accept third-party cookies.
- For the Keep until dropdown, select they expire.
- Click on Show Cookies.
- If Wells Fargo Advantage Funds is listed, highlight it and click Remove Cookies, then Close.
- Click OK on the Options window to close it.
Safari
- Click on the settings icon on the upper-right corner (or the Safari menu on Mac OS X), then Preferences.
- In Preferences, click on the Security icon.
- In the Accept Cookies section, select Always.
- Close the Preferences window.
Chrome
- Find the wrench icon in the upper-right corner of the browser and select Options (Preferences on Mac and Linux; Settings on Chrome OS).
- Select Under the Hood on the left-side of the page and click Content settings.
- Click the Cookies tab and select Allow local data to be set.
For AOL users, minimize your AOL browser, open Microsoft Internet Explorer and follow the steps above for your version. To verify your version, click on Help at the top of the browser, then About Internet Explorer.
How do I clear my browser cache?
Your browser stores previous versions of website pages in order to load those pages more quickly. These previous versions are stored in the browser's "cache". Sometimes, you may need to clear your cache in order to improve your browser's performance or to view the most recent version of a web page. Follow these instructions to clear your cache:
Internet Explorer 8.x and 9.x
- Go to the Safety menu in the upper-right corner of your browser and select Delete Browsing History.
- Uncheck the box Preserve Favorites Website Data and check Temporary Internet Files, Cookies, and History.
- Click the Delete button.
Internet Explorer 6.0 and 7.x
- Go to the Tools menu in the upper-right corner of your browser and select Internet Options.
- Find Browsing History on the General tab and click Delete.
- To clear your cache, click Delete Files. You can also delete cookies or your browsing history here.
- When you're finished, click Close, then OK to close the windows.
Firefox 3.5 and above
- Go to the Tools menu and select Clear All History.
- Select a time frame from the Time range to clear dropdown. (Selecting Everything will clear your entire cache.)
- Click the arrow next to Details to choose which items you want to delete.
- Click Clear Now.
Firefox 3
- Go to the Tools menu and select Clear Recent History.
- Select the items you want to delete.
- Click Clear Recent History (or Clear Private Data for Macintosh OS X).
Safari
- For Windows, click on the settings icon on the upper-right corner (or the Safari menu on Mac OS X), then Reset Safari.
- Choose the items you want to delete and click Reset.
Chrome
- Find the wrench icon in the upper-right corner of the browser and select Options (Preferences on Mac and Linux; Settings on Chrome OS).
- Select Under the Hood on the left-side of the page and click Clear browsing data.
- Select a time frame from the dropdown and choose which items to delete.
- Click Clear browsing data.
I just updated my browser to Internet Explorer 9, and I can't log in to Online Account Access.
