Evergreen Closed-End Funds Declare Monthly Dividends
November 20, 2009BOSTON – Evergreen Investments today announced the dividend declaration for Evergreen Income Advantage Fund (NYSE Amex:EAD), Evergreen Utilities and High Income Fund (NYSE Amex:ERH) Evergreen International Balanced Income Fund (NYSE:EBI), and Evergreen Multi-Sector Income Fund (NYSE Amex:ERC), and Evergreen Global Dividend Opportunity Fund (NYSE:EOD). Evergreen also announced a shift in portfolio management responsibilities for Evergreen Multi-Sector Income Fund.
Evergreen Income Advantage Fund is a closed-end high-yield bond fund. The Fund's investment objective is to seek a high level of current income. The Fund may, as a secondary objective, seek capital appreciation to the extent it is consistent with its investment objective.

In addition, effective November 30, 2009, senior portfolio managers Christopher Y. Kauffman and Richard Applebach will assume full responsibility for management of Evergreen Multi-Sector Income Fund’s adjustable rate strategy. Kauffmann and Applebach have been portfolio managers on the Fund since September 2008. They will continue to work closely with the other managers on the Fund to determine the appropriate mix of fixed income exposure.
Evergreen Global Dividend Opportunity Fund is a closed-end fund investing primarily in a diversified portfolio of common stocks of U.S. and non-U.S. companies. The Fund's investment objective is to seek a high level of current income. The Fund’s secondary objective is long-term growth of capital.
